Shirah Slide Hill Syrah 2020

Edna Valley’s strong maritime influence and volcanic soils are perfectly suited to growing world class, cool climate Syrah. This biodynamically farmed Syrah from one of Edna Valley’s grand cru sites, is a classic expression of Estrella clone Syrah. This wine is very sophisticated but has a very fruit centric flavor profile with great, savory/smokey  and spicy notes, and backed up by excellent tannic structure.

Color: dark, opaque magenta

Nose: High toned, herbal notes, smoked sagebrush, berry compote, game, anise, piper longum, root beer.

Palate: full bodied, rich, soft but with good structure and acidity. Bright berry fruit notes, subtle, smokey bacon, amazing lingering finish.

Decant for: 1 hour

Pair with: rack of lamb
