Shirah Saint & Barbarian 2021
Shirah Saint & Barbarian 2021
Saint and Barbarian is a tribute to Santa Barbara Syrah, highlighting the region's diverse terroir and climate that allow Syrah to express a Dr Jekyll/Mr. Hyde personality. Cooler sub-regions lend a refined, ethereal quality with notes of forest berry fruit, floral elements, and herbaceousness, while moderate sub-regions bring out rich, jammy fruit and an unctuous mouthfeel. Saint and Barbarian is the very embodiment of Syrah, with full spectrum flavors both ethereal and untamed, including ripe forest berry, bramble, peppercorn, earthy mushroom, floral and meat notes. This blend masterfully combines these elements, presenting a seamless harmony of sophistication and a raw, wild, primal nature, capturing the full potential of Santa Barbara’s Syrahs.
