Narrow Bridges Blackbird Merlot 2023

Our 2023 Blackbird Merlot is sourced from the Los Olivos District AVA in the S. Ynez Valley in S. Barbara County. The region’s sandy soils and wide diurnal shifts yield fruit with both richness and freshness, beautifully captured in this wine.

Aged 18 months in a mix of 50% new French oak and neutral barrels, the wine offers expressive aromas of cherry, pomegranate, cassis, vanilla, and subtle herbs. On the palate, layers of juicy red and dark fruits unfold with medium-plus body, tempered acidity, and a backbone of fine, chalky tannins. The finish is structured, balanced, and impressively long.

Elegant yet powerful, this Merlot is approachable now, and will continue to evolve gracefully.
