Kleinlerer Dancin' Sophie Red Wine 2025

The 2025 Kleinlerer Dancin’ Sophie Red Wine is the latest vintage of this 100% Cinsault chillable red wine. Dancin‘ Sophie is the chilled red wine everyone went absolutely crazy for in 2024 and sold out within weeks. And now she’s back foranother round. While the wine is named after my wife, Sophie, the name is a play on words of the name of the variety: DanCIN‘ SOphie.

The Cinsault is sourced from an organic vineyard in Lodi, California, a region famous for its Rhône varietal wines. Cinsault is often used as a blending grape in the Rhône Valley, and with only 121 acres of Cinsault grown in California, there are very few 100% Cinsault wines from California, let alone anywhere.
Harvested several days following the harvest date for the 2025 Cuvée Sacha & Nitza Rosé of Cinsault, this wine was fermented and aged in neutral French oak barrels. Like all Kleinlerer Wines, the 2025 Kleinlerer Dancin’ Sophie Red Wine is produced with indigenous yeast fermentation, and bottled unfined and unfiltered.

The resulting wine is light-colored, bright, acidic, and truly fun. It joyfully shows refreshing notes of watermelon Jolly Rancher, red cherry, strawberry, black tea,
and violets. This wine is great at room temperature, but turns into the ultimate summer wine when chilled. Perfect with summer salads topped with goat cheese at picnics, Mediterranean cuisine while lounging by the pool, or chilled on its own to cool you down while relaxing on the beach. With smooth and light tannins, Dancin’ Sophie is the ultimate glou-glou wine.
