Serpico is a "big" wine—bold, structured, and built for the long haul. A dense bouquet of cherry jam, blackberries, and ripe black cherries, layered with complex secondary notes of licorice, coffee, cocoa, and sweet spices. It is full-bodied and powerful with a striking spicy minerality. Expect high levels of fine-grained tannins that provide a drying, gastronomic structure. The finish is long and persistent, often characterized by earthy undertones, leather, balsamic notes, and a touch of tobacco or smoky minerals.
