2022 Laird, Syrah

From a hillside planting of Syrah at a new site in the Santa Maria Valley. Very low yields resulted in a wine with power and intensity while the cool maritime climate expresses Syrah’s spicy side. Dense and dark, this wine screams warm cinnamon spice and mocha along with cassis jam and rotundone and olive. The body is full and relatively soft with integrated tannin and the alcohol and acid are balanced.
