Teroldego wines tend to be very darkly colored and quite tannic but probably to a lesser degree than Lagrein. Our Teroldego is grown at Nolan Ranch in Alisos Canyon, an AVA that is celebrated for its Rhone varieties. A moderate climate and rolling hills of weak, loamy soil, interspersed with limestone producing low yields of pretty late ripening fruit. Rhone specialists Thompson Vineyard and the famed Sine Qua Non’s Third Twin vineyard are both located in Alisos Canyon and our Thompson fruit is usually from the last to ripen from all our different sources.
